The Ugandan Minister for Tourism Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu has called upon visitors from all over the world to visit East African destination to witness what it can offer in terms of tourist attractions compared to other destinations.
He made this statement at the East African Community joint event held at Tanzania stand at the World Travel Market (WTM) when addressing a fully packed audience to mark the event which was also attended by Ministers responsible for tourism from other member states of the Community, ambassadors and high commissioners representing East African countries to UK and other dignitaries.
Prof. Kamuntu who was speaking on behalf his counterparts noted that East Africa is endowed with unique tourism attractions not found in other destinations in the World.
In her welcoming note to Ministers responsible for Tourism, ambassadors and high commissioners of Community’s members states to UK, other dignitaries, exhibitors and invited guests at the Tanzania stand, the Tanzanian High commissioner to the UK Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro said that the cross border tourism business between the East African Community Partner states is good and prevails harmoniously for the mutual benefit of the East African Community member states as a whole and that tourist infrastructure have been well improved .
World Travel Market which is the second largest tourism show in the world kicked off on 7th of November this year and ended on 9th of November 2016.
